I cannot remember a time when I did not want to be a firefighter. As a very young boy, I knew I wanted to be a fireman just like my father. As a young firefighter, I remember the thrill of sitting in the back of that truck, riding backward on my way to a fire or vehicle accident with running lights and sirens, busting through intersections and cars moving out of our way, and thinking to myself, ‘this is the greatest job on the planet!’
Today, as your Fire Chief and District Manager , I am immensely proud to serve this community. My staff and I are honored to be given the responsibility of providing a safe and enjoyable environment for those that live, work, and visit Immokalee and Ave Maria.
We are an innovative and diversified fire department and, in addition to saving lives and property, we are actively involved in community fire safety and education, and continuing skills development.
